ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
TeleCommunication Systems Inc. (TCS) is immediately seeking a mobile client developer to assist with the development and deployment of a secure communications product. The requirements are currently being gathered so this is a great time to enter into the development life cycle and add tremendous value as TCS drives this new trend of secure communications wireless applications. These applications run on platforms inside a service provider’s network or can be hosted.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and guide the team on security topics.
- Partner with internal security experts to implement the best industry standard security practices.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Sciences or related field and 5+ years of application development required.
- Thorough knowledge of UNIX and JAVA required.
- Middleware and class library experience is essential for this role.
- Experience with networking and UNIX socket a plus.
- Java security and secure communication API’s (JCA, JCE) desired.
- Knowledge of protocols (XMPP or SIP) desired. Experience with HSM and Security standards (FIPS), Secure Coding Techniques, Cryptography and PKI is a plus.
- Strong communication skills required.
