Primary Function: Serve in the capacity of Loan Officer by making prompt and reasonable credit decisions regarding consumer and mortgage loans while adhering to applicable Federal, NCUA, Credit Union and State guidelines and regulations. Secondary Function: Cross-sell products and services to members. Assist branch staff by providing information to members regarding loan products and services. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Receive applications for all consumer loans and make prompt and justifiable credit decisions. 2. Prepare exception loans for consideration by Loan Review Committee in a timely manner. Make recommendations for actions on exception loans to Loan Review Committee. 3. Act as a liaison between members and Loan Review Committee to resolve any questions and/or concerns members have about credit decisions. 4. Work with members to assess their needs and desires to assist in determining whether the loan will be an acceptable risk to the Credit Union. 5. Complete annual training and adhere to all regulations and procedures for BSA/AML, Patriot Act, CIP, PLC, and OFAC to comply with all regulatory monitoring, record keeping, and reporting requirements. 6. Follow predetermined methods defined by management to maintain loan volume goals as determined by ALCO while maintaining a level of reasonable risk to the Credit Union. 7. Prepare settlement packages, coordinate settlements and process of post-settlement documentation. 8. Participate in quality control program to detect errors and omissions. 9. Process credit life and disability insurance claims. Serve as subject matter expert on credit life and disability insurance. 10. Collaborate with Accounting to successfully process GAP and MBP(warranty) remittance and process any submitted claims. 11. Process indirect loan requests using existing approval guidelines. 12. Convert indirect loan members to preferred financial service. Including but not limited to opening accounts, making follow up calls and suggesting additional services. 13. Prepare weekly and monthly loan volume reports for the Lending Manager and VP of Lending 14. Act in the capacity of back-up Loan Manager. 15. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Lending Manager and the VP of Lending
