Position Summary Under immediate supervision, assists in performing
information systems design, development, and analysis encompassing one or more
of the following areas of technical expertise: programming, PC application
analysis, software development, systems integration, and related disciplines.
Duties and Responsibilities Assists in the design, building and maintenance of
an information systems infrastructure. Performs maintenance of data systems,
which include servers, storage, designs, applications, databases and networks.
Performs routine IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing,
debugging and implementation of applications programs in support of one or
more functional areas such as materials, marketing, accounting, or human
resources. Provides Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports
operating systems, database or utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs
the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Assists
in implementing projects for LAN and/or WAN systems. Participates in the
planning, designing, acquiring and implementing of telecommunications
voice/wire systems. Provides routine support to employees and monitors,
supports and troubleshoots basic infrastructure issues. Coordinates with
internal and external vendors. Education and Experience Bachelor¿s degree in
Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a
related discipline and 0 to 2 years of directly related experience. In some
cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 5
years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly
specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions
involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market
survey data. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Good coordination, organization,
teaming and communication abilities. Works well individually or in a group
setting. Ability to work under pressure and time constraints. JITC & ATEC
experience preferred. Applicant must hold at least a secret clearance and be
eligible to obtain a TS clearance after employment.
