          Description Job Summary The role of an Assistant Cost Planner is to support estimating and other preconstruction services under direct supervision. Responsibilies may include quantification of work items, bid solicitation, scope development and processing of computerized data. Generally deals with the least complex aspects of a project.
          Responsibilities The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and skills required of personnel so classified.

          Take off quantities from plans under the supervision of Cost Planner II and Senior Cost Planner.
          Prepare list of qualifications for items taken-off.
          Use Digitizer and Revit as take-off aids.
          Input data into estimating software.
          Support soliciting trade/subcontractor bids .
          Prepare and maintain logs for tracking documents used in estimates.
          Familiar with all policies and processes as they relate to this position.

          Required Skills Four-year Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture; or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
          Entry level to 3 years of construction experience.
          Previous professional or scholastic exposure to estimating. Ability to take-off quantities and utilize estimating software is a plus.
          Proficient utilization of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
          Strong communication, organization and analytical skills.
          Motivated, with a proven track record as a dedicated hard worker.
