Job Description:

IAP is seeking a Project Manager based out of Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to provide oversight and management of government/military programs. Candidate will operate as a deputy to the Program Manager on multiple projects.

Essential Job Functions: (not limited to duties as described – performs related duties as requested)

  • Provides project supervision and management across all project functional areas (Finance, Accounting, Procurement, etc.).

  • Manages and directs project/program personnel to ensure objectives are met with top quality and levels of performance.

  • Supervises Help Desk personnel at APG.

  • Plans and supervises major system life cycle support tasks/functions including requirements definition, acquisition, integration, test and evaluation, fielding, installation, and disposition.

  • Organizes, directs, and coordinates planning and implementation of all contract support activities.

  • Interfaces with government personnel.

  • Ensures conformance to work standards and all contract requirements.

  • Creates and interprets policies and goals of the organization for subordinates.

  • Manages procurement and logistics support activities.

  • Assists with the identification of subcontractors, creates Statements of Work, and provides oversight and management of subcontractors thereafter.

  • Reviews subcontractor invoices to ensure all charges are allowable, accurate and complete.

  • Generates, reviews, and distributes various reports to meet contract reporting requirements.

  • Creates presentations to support internal and external meetings.

  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and other practices set forth by senior management.

  • Works independently under general guidelines or objectives.

  • Supports pursuit and capture activities, to include proposal writing and development.

Required Education & Experience: (or equivalent)

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business or Accounting preferred).

  • Five (5) years of experience working on government contracts.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Adept at identifying and resolving program challenges.

License & Certifications: PMP preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint.

  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks independently.

  • Excellent follow-through and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to identify project risk and mitigation activities.

  • Ability to efficiently anticipate and resolve project problems and challenges.

  • Use existing or create tools necessary to track and manage project performance and compliance.

Travel:Nominal, less than 5% is anticipated.

Security Clearance: Must hold or be able to obtain TOP SECRET security clearance.
