EEO/AA EmplpooyerPOSITION SUMMARY:The Information Assurance Engineer will have experience in providing a comprehensive understanding of emerging cyber security threats that can impact the DMZ programs. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in supporting and implementing DMZ architecture plans.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (MAJOR DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES):Participate in periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments to include user accounts, application access, file system and external Web integrity scans to determine complianceParticipate in and perform Information Assurance activities for Computer Network Defense (CND), Certification and Accreditation (CandA), and Computer Security Incident Response (CSIRT) TeamsResearch and coordinate implementation of DISA STIGS as directed by the IA LeadUtilize IA tools such as ACAS, eMASS, CMRS and any future toolsProvide input for CandA documentationProvide timely updates to the task managerParticipate in Weekly IA meetingsPerform all other duties as assignedKEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Support the BandD and Mission Partner program teamProvide support in writing SOP, White Papers, Plans, and reportsCommunicate project status to minimize exposure and riskManage project documents to ensure documentation is complete, current and stored appropriatelyParticipate in regular status meetings with project teamResolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashionContinually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen stakeholder relationshipsExercise a high degree of professionalism and self-motivationUse personal initiative to identify and recommend best practicesDemonstrate a continued commitment to professional education and industry best practicesSupport BandD Consulting, Inc. by providing proposal support as neededPerforms all other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environmentProposal writing technical skillsREQUIRED CLEARANCE:Must be a U.S CitizenActive "Secret" or "Top Secret" clearance or be able to obtain one prior to hireMust be able to pass a national background investigationMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:B.S. / B.A. in Computer Science or Information Technology (IT) or 3-5 years of professional experience Active Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) with IA experience preferredSecurity +NIPRNet and SIPRNet ExperienceMust have a minimum of 3-5 years professional IA experience.Knowledge of DOD IA concepts, regulations and processesUnderstanding of RMF controlsExcellent written, oral communications and organizational skills.Ability to proactively interact with high-level customers and team members.Ability to handle multiple tasks in both individual and team environments.Experience with MS Project, Power Point, Word, Excel and Visio
